We recently received a DMCA complaint targeting one of our articles, and honestly, the claim doesn’t add up.
The complainant, Now Toronto, claims that our article was copied from their original content. The problem? We couldn’t find any such original article on their website: https://nowtoronto.com/. So, we’re still trying to figure out exactly which article they’re referring to.
We’ve already filed our counter notice challenging the complaint. We’re documenting the whole thing here because using copyright complaints to get articles taken down is a serious matter, especially when the claim itself appears questionable.
