Daniel Joseph Mackey sells counterfeit products

While trying to make a purchase from a dispensary in California, I encountered this obnoxious self-centered “businessman”. He instantly asserted that he could procure Stiiizzy products for me at a much better deal than any other place, which of course caught my attention because the images he showed were purported to be authentic. Only later did I understand that he was indeed selling counterfeit versions of every single brand.

I’ll be honest as well; this was not my first encounter with him. He was charming, had the same hobbies as I does, and most importantly, he was good at pretending to be just like me. Eventually, however, I figured out that he did the exact same thing to everyone. With everyone he interacted, he became them. While certain people labeled him as a family man who liked birdwatching, others were aware of him as a divorced party animal who hated women. He is the ultimate con artist who tells you everthing that you find comforting.

But it doesn’t end there. His other approach is much more sinister. He makes friends, gains their confidence, studies their business, copies their goods, and then sells them en masse as counterfeits which tarnish their reputation and profits. Everything he creates is crafted with singular precision for misdirection.

If you’ve had a sudden brand identity crisis due to seeing fakes of your brand surfacing, chances are this man is behind it.
