ASSIST tried to scam me of $10k
Assist of Portland received my application for ssi/ssd. I eventually received approval, along with a letter outlining my back pay obligations. My case manager, Bianca, informed me that my backpay date had unexpectedly changed. She also informed me that I was not permitted to phone the federal SSI office directly. It’s a good thing I did, though, because they informed me that there had been no change in my back pay and that ASSIST could not advise clients not to contact the direct offices. I want everyone to be aware of the attempt to take advantage of me by these people. Because I am intelligent and won’t allow them take advantage of me, they messed with the Wrong client.
